Welcome Back
Well, before I start off,
Hi! I'm Alyson, but my friends and family call me Aly. I suck at this blogging thing, so I focus on fictional writing instead. My life is so boring compared to all my little heroines running around and saving the world while trying to go out with a super cute boy that doesn't understand her. I mean, I would totally write about my life all the time if I got to date super cute mysterious boys and foil some super-ultra evil bad guy's plans :) wouldn't you? I mean, I probably wouldn't have the time, but after the world was all put back together I would.
Ok, woah. Way way WAY off topic. I recently got braces, have never saved the world, just my ego. And grades that were falling off a cliff. *Shrug* no big deal. A cliff to me is a solid "B". I freak out if I get lower than an A- that's only because I'm a nerd.
To my real point: welcome back, me! You've competed in school geography competitions, had solos, And wrote thousands and thousands of words. All the while listening to Taylor Swift music and babysitting. You've finally got up the nerve to share the music you write in a scary environment: school. Nobody knew what you did except for your fam and a few friends. And then you had a few extra minutes in the choir room when the piano was open, begging to play. So, due to the comments I got, here's a few preview of what I do.
After all, I might as well get used to blogging about writing and music. I'll have to do it a whole lot when I'm famous ;)
Here is the chorus of "Plummet to the Ground". It has some personal meaning.
And the bridge:

Plummet to the ground
Don't you make a sound
As you crumble to the ground
All the way down.
And the bridge:
There's nothing you can do
But run until your life is through
And don't believe 'em
You grow wings so you don't.
In total, I've written about 20 lyrics. There is just the complicated manner of writing the music for them. I have done that for only, like, five so far. They aren't great, but I enjoy doing it and that's all the matters :)
And then I write. A LOT. It probably isn't healthy how often I coop myself up in my room like a hermit and surround myself with unconquerable mountains of paper, pens, and music. What can I say; I love my books, I love my pens, I love love love LOVE my music. I am such a teenager when it comes to that. Lets think about why that is...
Here's a treat for you, an excerpt from my soon-to-be-printed book.

Tevin looked around the school, there were too many people. Any one of them could find out his secret. And if that happened...he started seeing flashing lights in his vision. No, he wouldn't think about what could be if I hadn't happened. That was that.
The first people that approached him were strange, too much like him in terms of clothes. He hadn't expected the box to be right about these kind of things.
"I'm Bridgett," a petite girl smiled at him. "Who are you?"
"T-Ronan Arriss," he couldn't tell them his real name. Because then it would be the end. "I'm new around here. Could you show me around?"
"Yeah, Brad, Carter, and Ashlynn will help too. We're kind of the cool kids around here and we have to stay together."
And just like that he didn't even have to claw his way up the social ladder. Life was on its way.
